About WiseDex
Social media companies have policies against harmful misinformation. Unfortunately, enforcement is uneven, especially for non-English content. WiseDex harnesses the wisdom of crowds and AI techniques to help flag more posts. The result is more comprehensive, equitable, and consistent enforcement, significantly reducing the spread of misinformation.
The Team
Experts in crowdsourcing, fact-checking, natural language processing, political psychology, trust & safety, and beyond have all come together to create WiseDex.
Current Status
Our proposal for Phase II of the NSF Convergence Accelerator was, sadly, not funded. We are completing some of the
Phase I work on the conditions of public legitimacy for juries adjudicating misinformation content moderation actions.
We are also continuing development of the process for generating search keywords in multiple languages for specific misinformation claims and looking for opportunities to develop and deploy other elements of the WiseDex vision.
We continue to welcome inquiries from potential clients, partners, and funders.
In addition to the video above, we are sharing a
public executive summary and a slightly revised version of the
full
Phase II proposal that we submitted.
WiseDex is a 2021 Cohort Member of the National Science Foundation’s Convergence Accelerator.
