Social media companies have policies against harmful misinformation. Unfortunately, enforcement is uneven, especially for non-English content. WiseDex harnesses the wisdom of crowds and AI techniques to help flag more posts. The result is more comprehensive, equitable, and consistent enforcement, significantly reducing the spread of misinformation. WiseDex is a joint venture of collaborators from CSMR, University of Washington, MIT, and Trust Lab, and is a 2021 cohort member of the National Science Foundation (NSF) Convergence Accelerator.

The WiseDex team is presenting at the NSF Convergence Accelerator Expo 2022 on July 27 and 28, 2022. This virtual event is an opportunity to see unique, use-inspired research solutions funded by the NSF Convergence Accelerator. Last year’s event drew over 2,000 registrants from academia, industry, nonprofit, and government—and this year’s event is expected to be even larger. During the event, you will have the opportunity to connect with the WiseDex team and to learn more about WiseDex through various live presentations.

The Convergence Accelerator Expo 2022 is open to the public. Researchers, innovators, technology and business practitioners, and media from academia, industry, government, nonprofit, and other communities are encouraged to attend.
