About X’s Community Notes
As X describes it: "Community Notes aims to create a better-informed world, by empowering people on X to collaboratively add helpful notes to posts that might be misleading."
Users of X can sign up to be Community Notes Contributors.
A contributor proposes a note when they think a post will mislead the public.
Other contributors vote on whether the note is helpful.
It's not a majority vote. Community approval comes from upvotes by contributors who don't usually agree!
Whenever the post is shown, the approved note will be shown below it.
